I found
this fun little site the other day, that lets users pick the ideal cast for their favorite books. It's actually a game Connie and I like to play sometimes, after we've both finished reading the same book.
For example, we recently decided, after reading
The Soloist, that Samuel L. Jackson would have been a better choice for the role that Jamie Foxx will be playing in the upcoming movie. (Though I do like Robert Downey Jr. as the journalist).
One book I found on the website was a collection of
Doonsebury comics. Unexpected, but it was fun to think about who might play these characters. My current picks are:
Mike Doonesbury: William H. Macy
Zonker: Philip Seymour Hoffman
B.D.: Tom Berenger
Boopsie: Goldie Hawn
J.J.: Helen Hunt
Duke: Alan Arkin
Mark Slackmeyer: Kevin Kline
Reverend Sloan: Donald Sutherland
